1-1,1-2,2-1,1-3,3-1,etc; The total will be 36 or 6 x 6

Six outcomes for the first event times six outcomes for the second event.

 How many different ways can you roll a seven? List them

6-1,1-6,2-5,5-2,3-4,4-3  for a total of 6 

What are the odds of rolling a seven?  6/36  or one in six.
